Prime Minister Narendra Modi will do the roadshow in Patna on Sunday.

Patna, May 11, 2024: Preparations are in full swing in Patna ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow, scheduled for Sunday evening.

All security agencies, including the Special Protection Group (SPG), are on high alert to ensure the smooth conduct of the high-profile event.

SPG will do the mock drill  before PM Narendra Modi’s roadshow:

According to officials, the SPG will carry out a mock drill on Saturday evening to test security arrangements and crowd management along the designated route.

PM Narendra Modi will lead the roadshow in a specially designed saffron-coloured Isuzu SUV, which is currently parked at Dak Bungalow Chowk under close SPG supervision.

The vehicle, purchased around three months ago, bears the commercial registration number BR01GN3493, and its insurance is valid till January 2025, an official said.

The roadshow will begin from Dak Bungalow Chowk and pass through SP Verma Road, Exhibition Road, Uma Cinema Hall, Kadam Kuan, Sahitya Sammelan Bhawan, Thakurbari Road, and Bakarganj, before concluding at Ugyog Bhawan.

Senior BJP leader and candidates from the two Lok Sabha constituencies of Patna, Ravi Shankar Prasad (Patna Sahib) and Ram Kripal Yadav (Patliputra)—will accompany the Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with CM Nitish Kumar.

Massive security arrangements have been put in place, with the Patna Police, SPG, and intelligence units jointly monitoring the area through CCTV surveillance.

Traffic diversions and crowd control measures will be implemented several hours before the roadshow begins.
