Rs 50 thousand recovered from the office of RJD candidate in Aurangabad.

Patna April 17: On the direction of the election commission, a team of Static Surveillance Team (SST)  conducted a raid at the office of RJD candidate Abhay Kushwaha in Aurangabad and recovered Rs 50 thousand cash and election campaign materials on Wednesday.

Following the raid, the supporters of RJD and grand alliance protested against it. They have shouted slogans against the BJP leaders and district administration. They alleged that the district administration has conducted a raid on the direction of BJP leaders.

“They are trying to harass us through a raid like this. They conducted the raid for six hours on my head office in Aurangabad. The leaders of BJP are frustrated and disappointed and hence they are trying to create fear among us and our voters. I want to tell them that this is an office of grand alliance led by Lalu Prasad Yadav, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, Dipankar Bhattacharya and D Raja. Neither we nor our voters are scared of such a raid,” said Abhay Kushwaha, the RJD Lok Sabha candidate of Aurangabad.

“We have recovered Rs 50 thousand cash and some election campaign materials from the office of Abhay Kushwaha. The raid was conducted on the direction of the election commission. The further action will be taken as per the law,” said an officer of SST who was leading the raid.
