Tejashwi Yadav criticized NDA leaders ahead of Bihar assembly poll 2025.

Patna January 25, 2025: Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav launched a multi-pronged attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, raising sharp questions about governance, law and order, and electoral motivations ahead of the proposed visit of PM Modi to Bhagalpur on February 24.
Tejashwi Yadav criticized NDA leaders visit:
Tejashwi Yadav dismissed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Bhagalpur as a politically motivated exercise, he said. “This is an election year in Bihar, and hence they would jump here every time. But they have nothing to do with the people of Bihar or this state. They would come, make promises, and return. They cannot do anything for Bihar.”
He further questioned why Bihar had not been granted special status, a long-standing demand of the state.
“I want to ask them why they have not given special status to Bihar. They will make big promises and forget them all after the election. They do not believe in work. They only believe in staying in power by misleading people with false promises and assurances,” Yadav added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bhagalpur was announced during an agriculture review meeting chaired by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. During the visit, the PM is expected to release an instalment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme from Bhagalpur.
Remarks on Nitish Kumar’s Leadership:
Tejashwi Yadav also criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s governance, alleging that Kumar is disconnected from his duties. Referring to a breach of protocol, he stated.
“Nitish Kumar has lost his consciousness. He even forgot the protocol to receive the Vice President of India. The Vice President came to Patna yesterday, and Kumar did not go to the airport to receive him.”
Tejashwi Yadav dismissed the surrender of former MLA Anant Singh as a superficial act, alleging that it was orchestrated and lacked real consequences.
“Such an action is just an eyewash. All these people will soon be released from jail. Nitish Kumar is unable to control the law and order situation in Bihar,” he said.
Yadav’s statements reflect a heightened political tension in Bihar as the prepares for elections, with the opposition raising questions about both central and state leadership. The focus on governance, law and order, and electoral promises underscores the competitive narrative ahead of PM Modi’s visit.
