Patna June 27: The tourism department of Bihar will get a major boost after a world-class multipurpose International Nitish Kumar will inaugurate a conventional center in Valmiki Nagar Tiger Reserve (VTR). 

The inauguration of these two facilities will take place later in the day by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Besides him, Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Building Construction Minister Jayant Raj and local public representatives along with top officials of the concerned departments will also be present in this programme. The Chief Minister will also hold a review meeting with the officials in Valmiki Nagar regarding the flood.

The International Convention Center has been constructed at a cost of Rs 120 crore and has a capacity of 500 people. A multipurpose auditorium and modern audio and video equipment have been installed in it. Special arrangements have also been made for parking.

Nitish Kumar, who loves to visit VTR always has a special focus on the development projects here. He will also inaugurate the guest house complex which has 100 rooms. These two are built under state-of-the-art facilities. It has been constructed on the banks of the Gandak Barrage which provides great scenic views. This will greatly facilitate the tourists visiting Valmiki Nagar Tiger Reserve.

These two facilities will boost tourism in Valmiki Nagar Tiger Reserve. Wild animal lovers and wildlife photographers come to Valmiki Nagar every day and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere every day. These facilities will give additional benefits to them. 

The foundation stone of the International Convention Center and guest house were laid on May 6, 2022.

“At a cost of about Rs 120 crore, on the instructions of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, an international convention center has been constructed to give a new identity to the tourist city of Valmiki Nagar. It and to provide accommodation facilities to the tourists. The Chief Minister will inaugurate it today,” said Dinesh Kumar Rai, District Magistrate of West Champaran.
