Patna, June 27, 2024: Tourism infrastructure in Bihar set to get a major boost as Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will inaugurate a world-class international multipurpose guest house complex at Vanlmiki Nagar Tiger Reserve on Saturday.
Bihar Water Resource Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Building Construction Minister Jayant Raj, local public representatives and senior officials of concerned departments will also be present.
Nitish Kumar will also review the flood situation with officials in Valmiki Nagar.
The International Convention Centre has been built at a cost of Rs 120 crore and has a capacity of 500 people.
It is equipped with a multipurpose auditorium, modern audio-video systems and dedicated parking facilities.
Nitish Kumar regularly visit VTR:
Nitish Kumar, who frequently visits VTR and has constantly prioritized development work here, will also inaugurate a 100 room guest house complex.
Both facilities have been developed with state-of-the-art amenities.
Situated near the Gandak Barrage, they offer scenic views and will significantly enhance the experience of tourists visiting the Tiger Reserve.

The new infrastructure expected to provide a major boost to tourism in VTR, which already attracts wildlife enthusiasts, wild animal lovers and photographers on a daily basis.
The foundation stone of both projects was laid on 6 May, 2025.
“At a cost of about Rs 120 crore, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, an international convention centre has been constructed to give a new identity to the tourist city of Valmiki Nagar and to provide accommodation facilities to tourists. The Chief Minister will inaugurate it today,” said Dinesh Kumar Rai, District Magistrate of West Champaran.
