B Sudarshan Reddy gets support of the INDIA bloc leaders in Patna, Tejashwi criticized PM Modi.
Patna, September 4, 2025: The INDIA bloc joint candidate for the post of Vice President, B Sudarshan Reddy, received strong backing from alliance leaders during his visit to Patna ahead of the upcoming poll.
Meeting leaders of the INDIA bloc constituent parties, B Sudarshan Reddy said that the Vice Presidential poll is not just for one post, but a struggle to protect democracy, justice, and the constitution.
B Sudarshan Reddy says that social justice is deeply rooted in Bihar:
B Sudarshan Reddy, the former judge, reminded that the idea of social justice has deep roots in Bihar, dating back nearly 2000 years.
Responding to questions about his move from the judiciary into politics, he said, “This journey of mine started in 1971. What I am doing today is simply a continuation of that journey.”
Holding up a copy of the Constitution from his pocket, Reddy said that he has carried it with him for 52 years.

B Sudarshan Reddy received a warm welcome in Patna:
On his arrival, Reddy was received at the airport by Bihar State Congress In-charge Krishna Allavaru, State Congress President Rajesh Ram, CLP leader Dr Shakeel Ahmed, VIP chief Mukesh Sahani and several senior INDIA bloc leaders.
Tejashwi Yadav criticized PM Modi, Amit Shah:
Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav used the occasion to launch a scathing attack on PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, accusing them of capturing all institutions of the country.
He raised questions on the sudden resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and his silence afterwards, calling it evidence of the Centre’s conspiracy against those who stand against them.”
Praising Reddy as a candidate of integrity, Tejashwi described Bihar as the mother of democracy and termed this Vice Presidential poll as very crucial for the future of the Constitution and democratic values.
