BJP leaders welcome Bihar election announcement, confident of returning to power.

Patna, October 6, 2025: After the announcement of the Bihar Assembly elections in two phases on Monday, political reactions poured in from across the spectrum, with leaders of the BJP exuding confidence about retaining power.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said that the NDA will once again form the government in the state.

“The rapid pace of development will continue in Bihar. NDA government once again on November 14,” Sinha said.

He welcomed the Election Commission’s announcement, calling the polls the biggest festival of democracy.

Sinha added, “This election is not just an opportunity to vote but a moment for people to decide the direction of development, good governance, and self-reliance,” he said.

Highlighting the achievements of the NDA government, he said, “Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar has established new benchmarks in development, transparency, and governance. The progress in electricity, roads, education, health, and employment in every village is the hallmark of this government. This election is a choice between a developed Bihar and a return to the days of chaos.”

The BJP leader further said he was confident that “the conscious people of Bihar will once again give the NDA a landslide victory in favor of development, stability, and good governance.”

Other BJP leaders are also confident of winning elections:

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai also welcomed the announcement, saying that the election dates were favourable for the NDA.

“The public has decided to completely wipe out the opposition in this election. From 1990 to 2005, Bihar experienced jungle raj, with booths being looted. But since 2005, the situation has changed completely,” Rai said.

He added that the upcoming polls would set an example for the entire country.

“The poll body has ensured transparent and peaceful elections, and the people of Bihar will once again form an NDA government,” he said.

BJP state president welcomed the two-phase polls:

BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal said that the NDA welcomed the two-phase schedule.

“The public will prioritize development, and the NDA will receive overwhelming support. The government will be formed again under the leadership of Nitish Kumar,” he stated.

Echoing similar sentiments, Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Samrat Choudhary said the party was fully prepared for the electoral battle.

“We are ready for the political battle in Bihar. We will win this election and form the government again,” Choudhary said while speaking to reporters in Patna.
