Patna, October 6, 2025: Soon after the Election Commission announced the polling schedule for the Bihar Assembly elections, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav reacted sharply, terming the date as a “historic moment” and the “beginning of Bihar’s bright future, transformation, and development.”
Tejashwi Yadav declared that the “trumpet of change” had been sounded and urged people to unite for the Grand Alliance.
Tejashwi Yadav claimed Bihar has suffered for 20 years:
Claiming that Bihar had suffered for the past 20 years under the NDA, he alleged that the state was plagued by unemployment, corruption, crimes, paper leaks, migration, floods, and collapsing infrastructure.
“The youth will vote to end unemployment. What this government couldn’t do in 20 years, we will do in 20 months,” Yadav asserted, promising government jobs to all households.
Tejashwi Yadav said Bihar needs a CM like a lion:
Taking a direct swipe at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he said Bihar needs a CM with “youthful enthusiasm, courage, and vision” and not someone “unconscious or debilitated.” He described himself as a leader who could roar like a lion, fight corruption, and ensure employment and prosperity.
Framing the elections as a turning point, Yadav added, “This is not just an announcement of election dates, but the beginning of Bihar’s celebration. After 20 years, such a festive will come that will dispel all sorrows. On that day, every Bihari will become Bihar’s leader.”
