New Delhi, May 14, 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Delhi) has launched a new Industry Membership Program, a structured paid initiative aimed at fostering long-term strategic partnerships with industry.

The program, to be implemented by the Institute’s Corporate Relations Office, is designed to strengthen sustained collaboration between academia and industry by enabling deeper engagement with faculty, facilitating thematic research, and promoting innovation-driven initiatives.

IIT Delhi is focusing on research, innovation, and engagement:

Under this program, participating organizations will gain access to faculty expertise and collaborative research opportunities, institutional facilities, including advanced research laboratories, innovation programs, and thematic research initiatives, and customized training programs and library resources.

The initiative also seeks to enhance the visibility and outreach of IIT Delhi’s academic and research capabilities.

Tiered membership structure:

The program offers three membership tiers: Rs 10 lakh per annum for Silver, Rs 20 lakh per annum for Gold, and Rs 50 lakh per annum for Platinum.

These tiers allow organizations to engage with the institute at varying levels across research, talent development, and institutional collaborations.

Exclusive benefits for members:

Members of the program will receive early access to patents, technologies, and research outputs, dedicated relationship management support, opportunities for co-creating long-term research agendas, and participation in curated platforms such as CXO roundtables, leadership forums, and CSR conclaves.

Strengthening India’s innovation ecosystem:

Commenting on the initiative, Prof. Jayant Jain said the program will serve as a robust platform for sustained industry—academia engagement.

He noted that the initiative aligns with India’s broader vision of strengthening indigenous research, fostering innovation, and promoting industry-led R&D to position the country as a global knowledge and technology hub.
