Rabri Devi backs Tej Pratap Yadav amid family rift; growing resentment in Raghopur against Tejashwi.

Patna, October 31, 2025: After being expelled from both the Lalu Prasad family and the RJD, Tej Pratap Yadav had been living in complete political and personal isolation for over three months.

During this time, none of his family members came forward in his support.

However, the situation now appears to be changing within the Yadav household.

Tej Pratap, who has floated his own political outfit and fielded candidates in several constituencies for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, is gradually regaining warmth from his family.

Tej Pratap got support first from his sisters:

It began with Patliputra Lok Sabha MP Misa Bharti, who recently wished her elder brother success in the elections.

Soon after, Rohini Acharya also expressed open support for Tej Pratap’s independent stand and extended her best wishes.

Now, Rabri Devi too has broken her silence, expressing her approval of her son’s decisions.

“He is fighting… that’s also fine. It’s okay, he is right in his own place,” Rabri Devi said when asked about Tej Pratap’s new political path.

Rabri Devi campaigned for her son Tejashwi in Raghopur:

Rabri Devi made the remark on Friday during her visit to Raghopur, where she was campaigning for her younger son, Tejashwi Yadav, who is contesting from the seat for the third time.

However, during her visit, signs of growing resentment among Raghopur’s voters become visible.

Locals reportedly questioned Tejashwi’s absence during flood crises in the region—an issue Tej Pratap himself had raised earlier when he distributed relief materials in the area and asked why the local MLA had not reached out to the affected people.

Witnesses said Rabri Devi appeared uncomfortable when an elderly voter confronted her about Tejashwi’s inaccessibility.
