Tejashwi Yadav will lead the coordination committee of Grand Alliance ahead of Bihar assembly polls 2025.

Patna, April 17, 2025: The Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) has taken a significant step toward gearing up for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections by announcing the formation of a Coordination Committee, which will be led by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.

This decision was made in a crucial meeting of all alliance partners held in Patna on Thursday.

The meeting, which lasted nearly three hours, saw participation from top leaders of the RJD, Congress, VIP, Left parties, and other constituents of the INDIA bloc.

Tejashwi Yadav vows to raise public issues:

At a Joint press conference after the meeting, the leaders vowed to fight the elections unitedly and take the burning issues of the people to the public.

Speaking to the media, Tejashwi Yadav said: “There is no difference of opinion in the alliance now. We have agreed on every issue. Now the NDA should be worried.”

He sharply criticized the NDA government, especially Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, alleging, “Bihar is number one in crime migration, and low farmer income. The double engine government has failed to deliver,”

Tejashwi further added: “Nitish Kumar is unconscious politically, and I challenge PM Modi and Amit Shah to explain the rampant crime and migration in Bihar,”

Congress state in-charge also echoes his view on the coordination committee:

Alongside him, Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru confirmed Congress’ full support for the alliance structure and Tejashwi Yadav’s leadership.

“The coordination committee will function as a supreme decision-making body handling seat sharing, media coordination, and organizational planning,” said Allavaru.

He also took a dig at the NDA:

“There is confusion on the other side. Even Haryana CM is floating Samrat Choudhary’s name as NDA’s CM face. But in the INDIA alliance, leadership is clear.”

The Grand Alliance leaders claimed the seat-sharing talks are expected to begin under the committee’s guidance

A joint campaign strategy will be unveiled soon.

The alliance will focus on issues like crime, migration, and farmer distress.
