Patna, April 9, 2024: Ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s rally in Aurangabad, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav launched a sharp attack on the BJP, saying that even if Prime Minister Narendra Modi campaigns in Bihar every day of the year, the party will still face defeat in the upcoming elections.
PM Narendra Modi and the BJP seem scared of Bihar. That’s why all their top leaders are rushing here. I urge them to come here all 365 days of the year, but they will still lose the election,” Yadav said while addressing the media in Patna on Tuesday.
Tejashwi Yadav targeted the BJP for not addressing real issues:
Tejashwi Yadav accused the BJP of using its full strength and deploying investigating agencies in Bihar, but failing to address real issues.
“Let them come and talk about unemployment, migration, farmers’ problems, and Bihar’s demand for special status,” he added.
Yadav also alleged that BJP leaders only remember Bihar during elections.
“They make tall promises but forget them later. Are there any new factories in Bihar? Compare this with Gujarat, where all factories go, while Bihar gets nothing despite giving the BJP 39 out of 40 Lok Sabha seats in 2019,” he said.
Amit Shah’s rally in Aurangabad:
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address a rally on Wednesday in Aurangabad in support of BJP candidate Sushil Kumar Singh.
PM Modi has already addressed rallies in Jamui on April 4 and Nawada on April 7, and is scheduled to visit Gaya on April 16 to campaign for HAM leader Jitan Ram Manjhi.
Reacting to Tejashwi Yadav’s remarks, Bihar cabinet minister Nitin Navin said, “We will repeat our 2019 performance. The people of Bihar are with PM Modi. TJD will not even open its account. We will win all 40 seats.”
Polling for the first phase of the Bihar elections will be held in Aurangabad on April 19.
