Seat sharing formula of INDIA bloc announced for Bihar.

Patna, March 29, 2024: The INDIA bloc on Friday announced its seat-sharing arrangement for Bihar ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

As per the formula, 26 seats, the Congress 9, CPI (ML) 3, CPI 1, and CPI (M) 1 seat.

RJD will contest on 26 seats under INDIA bloc:

RJD will field candidates from—Gaya (SC), Nawada, Jahanabad, Aurangabad, Buxar, Patliputra, Munger, Jamui (SC), Banka, Valmikinagar, Purvi Champaran, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Vaishali, Saran, Siwan, Gopalganj (SC), Ujiarpur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Jhanjharpur, Supaul, Madhepura, Purnea, Araria and Hajipur (SC).

Congress will contest from—Kishanganj, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Samastipur (SC), Muzaffarpur, West Champaran, Patna Sahib, Sasaram (SC) and Maharajganj.

Left parties will contest on four seats:

CPI(ML) will contest from Arrah, Karakat and Nalanda Lok Sabha seats, along with the Agiaon Assembly seat bypoll (vacated after the conviction of MLA Manoj Manjil).

CPI will contest from Begusarai. CPI(M) will contest from Khagaria. With this announcement, the INDIA bloc has put a formal seal on its alliance strategy in Bihar, a state with 40 Lok Sabha constituencies.
