Rs 50 thousand recovered from the office of RJD candidate in Aurangabad.

Patna, April 17, 2024: A team of the Static Surveillance Team (SST) recovered Rs 50 thousand cash from the office of RJD candidate Abhay Kushwaha in Aurangabad on Wednesday.

Rs 50 thousand recovered during six hours of raid:

The raid was conducted for six hours. The sleuths have also recovered election campaign materials during the raid.

The operation triggered protests by RJD and Grand Alliance supporters, who raised slogans against BJP leaders and the district administration.

They alleged that the raid was politically motivated and carried out under pressure from the BJP.

Reacting to the development, RJD’s Aurangabad Lok Sabha candidate Abhay Kushwaha said, “They are trying to harass us through a raid like this. The BJP leaders are frustrated and disappointed, and hence they are attempting to create fear among us and our voters. This is the office of the Grand Alliance led by Lalu Prasad Yadav, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, Dipankar Bhattacharya and D Raja. Neither we nor our voters are scared of such raids.”

An SST officer confirmed the recovery of Rs 50 thousand cash:

An SST officer leading the raid confirmed, “We have recovered Rs 50 thousand in cash and some election campaign materials from Abhay Kushwaha’s office. The raid was conducted at the direction of the poll body. Further action will be taken as per the law.”
