Tejashwi Yadav said PM Modi is campaigning for those who are talking about finishing the constitution.

Patna April 17: A day after PM Narendra Modi said no one would change the constitution of the country, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav attacked him and said why he is not taking action against those who are repeatedly making statements against it.

“The constitution is the biggest holy book of the country and BJP leaders are repeatedly saying to destroy this book. Shockingly, PM Narendra Modi, instead of taking action against them, is campaigning for them,” Yadav said.

“If anyone is talking about changing the constitution which means they are trying to violate your rights. If the constitution is changed in the country, people will not avail the public welfare policies, jobs, scholarship etc. The intentions of BJP leaders are not right,” he said.

“They have spread inflation, price rise, poverty, unemployment in the country for the last 10 years. Now, they are taking resolutions to change the constitution. It is necessary to defeat BJP otherwise the constitution of the country will be finished,” Tejashwi Yadav said.

Manoj Jha, the RJD Rajya Sabha MP said the people of the country have to fight to save the constitution of the country.

“In 2015, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat advocated for the review of the constitution and change in reservation in the country. Our party’s national president Lalu Prasad Yadav had mentioned the points written in a book called Bunch of Thought,” Jha said.

“Lalu Prasad Yadav had made people aware at that time. Now, the same situation comes today as well. The BJP leaders keep saying that they will change the constitution if they win the election 2024,” Jha said.

“The constitution written by Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar gives rights to all the countrymen. They (BJP leaders) are talking about finishing the rights of poor, deprived, backward class people Dalit, EBC and tribal,” Jha said.
