Patna, May 25, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a blistering attack on the INDI Alliance during an election rally in the Patliputra Lok Sabha constituency on Saturday, asserting that whenever opposition parties begin blaming the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM), it indicates an NDA victory is imminent.
“The exit polls of the election have started coming. You must understand that when these INDI alliance members start abusing EVM all the time, it means that the exit poll of the NDA’s success has come. ON June 4, a new record will be made in Patliputra as well as in the country,” PM Modi said, addressing a massive gathering in Patna.
PM Modi targeted the opposition over reservation:
The Prime Minister also mounted a sharp attack on the RJD and Congress over the issue of reservation, accusing them of trying to dilute quotas meant for SC, ST, and OBC communities by extending benefits along religious lines.
“The land of Bihar has shown the direction to the entire country regarding social justice. A long battle has been fought here for the rights of SC, ST, and OBC communities. But today, I am presenting a bitter truth before the aware people of Bihar. The Constitution clearly says that there will be no reservation on the basis of religion. Baba Saheb Ambedkar also said this. Yet RJD-Congress wants to end the quota of SC, ST, and OBC to give reservation to their vote bank,” he said.
PM Modi accused the Congress of amending laws to favour minority institutions, thereby depriving backward communities of education opportunities.
Earlier, SC, ST and OBC students used to get full reservations in these institutions. Due to the RJD-Congress, today, they do not get even 1 percent reservation. The education opportunities of lakhs of SC, ST and OBC youths have been snatched away,” PM Modi alleged.
Citing the Kolkata High Court’s recent verdict, the Prime Minister said that the West Bengal government’s move to grant OBC status to 77 Muslim castes was another conspiracy of the INDI Alliance.
“After this decision, jobs meant for backward and OBC castes started going to these 77 Muslim castes. The rights of my backward families—Yadav, Kurmi, Kushwaha, Teli, Kanhu, Nishad, Paswan, and Musahar—were looted by these people,” he said.
PM Modi jibes at Lalu Prasad Yadav:
Taking a jibe at RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Modi said that in the age of LED bulbs, “Bihar still has a lantern that only lights one house”, symbolizing dynastic politics.
“This lantern has spread darkness all over Bihar. They think of their own family first and leave everyone else behind,” he said.
PM Modi urged voters to understand the national importance of the election, emphasizing that every vote would determine the future leadership of the country.
“This election is to elect the Prime Minister of the country. India wants a PM who can present the strength of the great nation to the world. The INDI Alliance, on the other hand, wants to give five PM in five years. They are deeply communal, cattiest and nepotism,” he said.
Concluding his speech, PM Modi lauded the enthusiasm among voters and urged everyone to cast their votes in large numbers.
We are witnessing unprecedented excitement among voters across the nation. I congratulate every voter and urge them to participate in large numbers,” PM Modi said.
