Mansukh Mandaviya highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for India to rank among the top five nations in global sports by the centenary of independence in 2047.
He noted that a comprehensive strategy is underway to achieve this milestone. Through the Khelo India program, efforts are focused on identifying and nurturing talent at the grassroots level, ensuring young athletes receive opportunities for national and international exposure.
He also underscored ongoing initiatives to elevate Indian sports by providing world-class training, including hiring the best international coaches.
