Mark sheets of arrested NEET candidates indicated irregularities
Patna June 19: Amid a huge uproar over the NEET question paper leak case, the mark sheets of the four arrested candidates of Bihar have come out in the public domain and it is indicating that irregularities happened before the examination.
Two of the arrested candidates performed miserably in one or two subjects and they obtained good numbers in one subject.
One of the arrested candidates Anurag Thakur, the son of Sikandar Yadvendu’s brother-in-law, obtained 85.52 percentile in Physics and 5.04 percentile in Chemistry. He got a total of 185 marks. Anurag got 85.52 percentile in Physics and 51.04 percentile in Biology. Whereas, he got 5.04 percentile in Chemistry. It is clear from this that Anurag must not have memorized the chemistry paper or he may not have got the chance to memorize it.
Sikandar Yadvendu is said to be a kingpin of the NEET question paper leak case. He was arrested by EOU.
The question arises that when a student can score up to 85 percentile in one subject, then how does the same student get stuck at 5 percentile in another subject?
Another arrested candidate Ayush Raj achieved 300 marks in all subjects. His examination center was in DAV School Board Colony, Patna. Ayush scored 87.80 percentile in Biology, but his performance in Physics and Chemistry was very poor. Ayush Raj has got only 15.52 percentile in Physics and 15.36 percentile in Chemistry. It seems that Ayush had only a Biology paper. He did not get time to memorize the answers to the other two subjects.
Abhishek Kumar obtained the highest marks among the four candidates. He had a center in KD Convent School in Patna. Abhishek has got 95.99 percentile in Chemistry and 96.40 percentile in Physics. At the same time, he has got 95.56 percentile in Biology.
Talking about Shivanandan Kumar, a resident of Gaya district, his examination center was in International College, Patliputra. Shivanandan Kumar has got 483 marks. Shivanandan has got 90.27 percentile in Biology and 89.75 percentile in Physics. At the same time, he has got 86.02 percentile in Chemistry.
NEET exam was conducted across the country on 5 May and its question paper was leaked a day earlier on June 4. During the investigation, the Economic Offenses Unit received the roll codes of 13 candidates, out of which four have been caught and now the mark sheets of these four have come to the public.
