Patna, October 25, 2025: As political parties have now turned their attention to Chhath Puja, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav launched a sharp attack on the BJP over the railway’s announcement of 12,000 special trains for the festive season.
While uploading a post on his social media account X, Lalu Prasad Yadav, wrote, “The uncrowned king of lies and master of empty promises boasted that out of 13,198 trains in the country, 12,000 would run for Bihar during Chhath. This turned out to be another blatant lie. Even during Chhath, these people cannot ensure proper train services for Biharis who have suffered the brunt of migration for 20 years under the NDA.”
Lalu Prasad Yadav blamed the NDA government train travelers’ misery:
He further said that migrant workers were traveling in inhuman conditions,” blaming the NDA’s politics for the large-scale migration from Bihar.
“Due to the wrong policies of the double-engine government, over four crore Biharis migrate every year for work. No major industries have been set up in the state since the UPA era,” he alleged, calling the NDA “anti-Bihar.”

The Indian Railway had earlier announced that more than 12,000 special trains would be operated across the country during Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath Puja to help migrant workers return home.
However, opposition parties have claimed that the railways’ figures are misleading and that passengers continue to face difficulties reaching Bihar.
The campaign for the Bihar Assembly polls is in full swing:
Meanwhile, with campaigning in full swing, all major political leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President JP Nadda, have been touring the state.
The first phase of voting in the Bihar Assembly elections is scheduled for November 6, followed by the second phase of polling on November 11.
