Jyoti Singh, wife of super star Pawan Singh announces plans to contest assembly poll 2025.

Patna January 17, 2025: Jyoti Singh, the wife of Bhojpuri actor, singer, and former political candidate Pawan Singh, has officially announced her intention to contest the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

While she has not yet disclosed the party or the constituency from which she will run, her growing presence in the Karakat region has fuelled speculation about her political plans.

Jyoti Singh was campaigned for her husband in Lok Sabha poll:  

Pawan Singh, a prominent Bhojpuri star, had previously contested the Lok Sabha elections from the Karakat constituency but faced defeat. During that campaign, Jyoti Singh had been actively involved, appealing to voters to support her husband. Despite her efforts, Pawan Singh did not win the seat.

Now, she is preparing to make her political debut, having publicly announced her desire to contest in the 2025 Bihar assembly elections. Jyoti Singh has been actively touring the Karakat area in recent days, strengthening her connection with the local electorate.

On Friday, she attended a cricket tournament at the sports ground in Dalmia Nagar as the chief guest. Where she was greeted by a massive crowd of supporters. Chants of “Jyoti Singh Jindabad” echoed through the event, signalling her growing popularity. The organizers also honoured her during the ceremony.

Jyoti Singh said she will contest elections:

While speaking to journalists at the event, she expressed her willingness to step into politics. “If the people want and order me, I will definitely contest the assembly elections this time,” she stated.

When asked about her party affiliation and the constituency she plans to represent, she replied. “I am coming to the area because of the love, blessing, and respect of the people. I will contest the elections, but from which party or which assembly constituency will be revealed soon.”

Given her frequent visits to Karakat and active engagement with the local community, many speculate that she may contest the assembly elections from the Karakat constituency.

Jyoti Singh’s efforts suggest she is positioning herself as a strong candidate to represent the region, potentially aiming to revitalize her family’s political aspirations.

With her growing public presence and commitment to serving the people, Jyoti Singh is emerging as a promising new face in Bihar’s political landscape. Her entry into politics could introduce a fresh dynamic to the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, particularly in the Karakat constituency.
