Dilip Jaiswal said Nitish Kumar will be the NDA’s CM candidate for the 2025 Bihar Assembly poll.

Patna December 23, 2024: The Bihar BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal has confirmed that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will contest the 2025 assembly elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, putting an end to recent speculation about a change in leadership.

This announcement was made by Bihar’s BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal following a two-day state committee meeting in Surajkund, Haryana.

“The assembly elections of Bihar 2025 would be fought under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, with full support from all five alliance partners of the NDA,” Jaiswal said.

Other BJP leaders also echoed the statement of Dilip Jaiswal:

Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh and Bigar’s Environment Forest and Climate Change Minister Prem Kumar echoed the sentiment of Dilip Jaiswal, asserting there is no confusion about Kumar’s position as the CM face.

Recently, Hindustani Awam Morcha-Secular (HAM-S), an NDA ally, also confirmed its backing for Kumar during its national executive meeting in New Delhi.

Earlier, ambiguity arose from Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s comments during an interview with the private news channel, where he gave a cryptic response, leading to speculation. This new announcement resolves that uncertainty.

Election Strategy and Development Agenda:

The BJP core committee meeting was attended by senior leaders like B. L. Santosh and Vinod Tawde, outlining plans for organizational strengthening and a roadmap for the elections.

The BJP leaders have focused on development as the central theme of the campaign. The achievements of Nitish Kumar’s government at the state level and central schemes for the state will be the main agendas of the campaign. Joint programs will take this message to every village and household in Bihar.

JD(U) has launched initiatives like the Karpoori Rath and Nari Shakti Rath to highlight the government’s achievements and connect voters at the grassroots level.

The BJP state board is scheduled to convene in January, and a joint meeting of NDA workers is planned from January 15 onwards to further solidify the alliance’s strategy.

This unified stance is expected to strengthen the NDA’s position ahead of the 2025 Bihar assembly elections, with Nitish Kumar at the forefront as the alliance’s CM candidate.
