Dilip Jaiswal said Nitish Kumar is a “Ship”, may spark political debate before 2025 poll.
Patna January 7, 2025: Bihar BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal reaffirmed his support for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, likening him to a “ship” capable of taking anyone who boards to safety.
Jaiswal’s remarks came amid growing political speculations about alliances and leadership in the state.
Dilip Jaiswal on Nitish Kumar and Prashant Kishor:
Reacting to allegations that political strategist Prashant Kishor is working as BJP’s “B-team,” Jaiswal dismissed the speculation, saying.
‘If Prashant Kishor is the B-team, then what is the problem? People talk about A team, a B team, or a C team. For us, whoever boards the ship will cross the river. Nitish Kumar is a ship anyone can board or get off as they wish.”
Dilip Jaiswal’s statement also addressed recent comments by Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the Chief Minister’s post. When asked if Shah’s remarks hinted at a leadership shift, Jaiswal sidestepped the question, saying. “Why are you asking me about Delhi? I am the Bihar BJP President. Our leader is Nitish Kumar, and we will contest the assembly elections under his leadership. Predictions and speculations don’t concern us.”
Criticism of Opposition Leaders:

Bihar Food Supply Minister Lassy Singh echoed Dilip Jaiswal’s confidence, emphasizing that the NDA remains united under Nitish Kumar’s leadership.
“Opposition leaders can say whatever they want, it won’t affect the NDA’s health. The Chief Minister is tirelessly working, even in severe cold, visiting districts as part of his Pragati Yatra. Nitish Kumar doesn’t need certificates from the opposition, “ Singh said.
Amid statements from Amit Shah and Lalu Prasad Yadav’s overtures, speculations have been rife about Nitish Kumar’s political future. Kumar. However, has made it clear during his Pragati Yatra that he is committed to staying with his current alliance.
“Mistakes were made twice, but now I will remain with my old partner, “Kumar said in the past.
