BPSC announced that the whole 70th PT examination would not be cancelled.
Patna December 27, 2024: In response to the ongoing protests by candidates demanding cancellation of the 70th combined preliminary examination, the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has firmly announced that the examination will proceed as planned.
Rajesh Kumar Singh, the examination controller of BPSC, confirmed that the whole exam will not be cancelled under any circumstances.

He emphasized that while some individuals are pushing for its cancellation, the commission has received numerous emails from others urging them not to cancel the examination.
Singh further criticized the allegations made by the agitators, stating, “The protestors have not provided any substantial evidence to back their claims,”
He described their accusations as fabricated.
“The re-examination will be held on the scheduled date on January 4, 2025. Candidates can download their admit cards from January 2, 2025. The re-examination will be held at multiple locations and not at the Bapu examination centre in Patna,” Singh said.
“The commission is preparing to hold the re-examination for the candidates who appeared at the Bapu Examination Centre on December 13. The issue was isolated to this one centre, and no complaints had been received from the remaining 911 centres where the examination was conducted smoothly,” he said.
Singh emphasized that while around 3.28 lakh candidates took the exam on December 13, only a small fraction—about two thousand candidates—are protesting.

He pointed out that these protestors have not provided any evidence of irregularities at other centres and reiterated that the future of the 3.26 lakh candidates cannot be jeopardized based on the complaints of a few individuals.
Addressing the protest, Singh further revealed that the commission is focused on preparing for both the re-examination and the main exam. The BPSC expects to declare the results by the last week of January 2025, with the main examination scheduled for April 2025.
