Patna, June 2, 2025: A day after the attack on outgoing Patliputra BJP MP Ram Kripal Yadav, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said that strict action would be taken against those involved in the incident.
Samrat Choudhary alleged that RJD people were behind the attack:
Accusing the RJD of desperation amid fears of electoral defeat, Samrat Choudhary said, “RJD is disappointed with the expected loss in this Lok Sabha election and hence their people attacked our MP. The people of Bihar have rejected the RJD and the Grand Alliance, and now they have resorted to hooliganism. Those who attacked Ram Kripal Yadav are RJD goons.”
He added that the Bihar police has constituted an SIR to probe the case and accused that no accused will be allowed to escape.
Apart from Samrat Choudhary, Giriraj Singh also condemned the incident:
Begusarai MP Giriraj Singh also condemned the incident, calling the attack an act of desperation.
Ram Kripal Yadav was attacked around 7.30 pm on Saturday at Gopalpur Math village under Masaudhi police station in Patna district.
He alleged that he, his sons, and BJP supporters were targeted by RJD workers.
“They attacked me, my sons, and BJP supporters. This was done out of fear of defeat. Our workers were also attacked in Bikram, Danapur, Paliganj, and Dhanarua during and after polling.
I fear how many more attacks will take place after the election results,” he said.
Arrest and FIR:
