Bihar’s Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary said stringent action will be taken against the attackers of Ram Kripal Yadav.
Patna June 2: A day after the attack on BJP outgoing MP of Patliputra Ram Kripal Yadav, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said stringent action will be taken against the accused.
“RJD is disappointed with the expected defeat in this Lok Sabha election and hence they attacked our MP. The people of Bihar rejected RJD and the Grand Alliance and hence they came on hooliganism. Those who attacked Ram Kripal Yadav are the goons of RJD,” Choudhary said.
“The Bihar police has constituted an SIT in this matter and stringent action will be taken against each of the accused. No one will be allowed to escape in this case,” he said.
Begusarai BJP MP Giriraj Singh said such an attack happened in desperation.
Ram Kripal Yadav was attacked by a group of people at Patna’s outskirt village Gopalpur Math under Masaudhi police station on Saturday at 7.30 pm. He claimed that four rounds of firing had taken place on his SUV.
“They attacked me, my sons and supporters of the BJP on Saturday evening. It was an act of RJD supporters. They did this out of fear of defeat. Our workers were attacked in Bikram, Danapur Paliganj and Dhanrua village during and after the polling on Saturday. I am afraid of how many more attacks will happen after winning the election,” Ram Kripal Yadav said.
