Mangal Pandey challenges Tejashwi Yadav for open debate on appointments.

Patna, June 28, 2025: Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey has openly challenged RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav to a debate, questioning the latter’s claims over governments during his tenure as Health Minister. “Tejashwi should tell how many were approved, how many were actually appointments, and how many were recommended during his tenure,” Pandey said.

Mangal Pandey alleged Tejashwi is taking credit for jobs:

He alleged that Tejashwi is trying to take credit for appointments made under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership.

“Whatever positive work has been done today, the credit goes to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, not Tejashwi Yadav,” Pandey asserted.

Recruitment drive in Bihar:

Mangal Pandey’s remarks came during a letter distribution ceremony for 21,391 newly appointed constables at Bapu Auditorium in Patna on Saturday.

He also highlighted that over 9,000 appointments have been made in the Health Department within the last month, with large-scale recruitments ongoing in the Education, Home, and other departments.

“The employment process in Bihar is moving rapidly and will benefit the youth,” he added.

The counter on voter list objections:

Responding to Tejashwi’s objections over document requirements in the voter list revision, Mangal Pandey remarked: “These are the same people who never wanted elections to be transparent. Between 1990 and 2005, fake voters used to cast votes while genuine voters stayed at home.”

Pandey questioned why Tejashwi is objecting now when the Election Commission is actively working for fair elections, adding pointedly:

“If someone is having stomach ache due to honest elections, it shows the kind of politics they want to do.”

As Bihar gears up for assembly by-elections, Pandey’s direct challenge may further heat up the political atmosphere in the state.

It remains to be seen how Tejashwi Yadav responds to this call for a public debate on his record and claims.
