Patna, September 21, 2024: Prashant Kishor claimed one crore members who are associated with Jan Suraj’s campaign will form it into a political party on October 2, 2024.

Jan Suraj Campaign, under the leadership of Prashant Kishor, is going to formally take the form of a political party on October 2. Before this, Prashant Kishor clarified that this party will not be of any particular person, but of the common people of Bihar.

“On October 2, Jan Suraj chief is not forming a party, but 1 crore people of Bihar are coming together to form this party for the better future of their children, education, employment, to stop migration and to get freedom from the governments of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Nitish Kumar and BJP for the last 30 year,” Kishor said.

Prashant Kishor also said that there has been no change in his role. This move marks a new phase in his political journey, shifting from a behind-the-scene strategist to a more direct role in Bihar’s politics.

“Earlier I advised political parties and leaders on election strategies and organizational development. Now, I am expanding that expertise to the people of Bihar through the Jan Suraj campaign.,” he said.

Prashant Kishor said that this is happening for the first time in the history of the country that even before the formation of the party, 1 crore people would become its founding members and together they form the party.

“Typically, political parties initiate membership campaigns after they are formally established, but this process is happening in advance for Jan Suraj, underscoring its grassroots approach,” KIshor said.

At present, BJP and RJD are ramping up their membership campaigns in preparation for the 2025 assembly elections of Bihar.

The BJP launched its membership campaign on September 2 this year and  RJD began its own campaign on September 19 aiming to make one crore membership across the country.
