Neet question paper leak case, Anurag Yadav confessed the crime
Patna June 20: Anurag Yadav, one of the arrested candidates in the NEET question paper leak case confessed that he got the question paper and answers a day before the examination.
Anurag Kumar is the son of Sikandar Yadvendu’s brother-in-law and was present in the NHAI guest house to memorize the answers to the questions of the NEET examination.
Anurag Yadav, in a written statement, said that he was preparing for the NEET examination in Kota Rajasthan. His uncle Sikandar Yadvendu who is a junior engineer at Danapur Municipal Council, told him that the NEET exam is scheduled on May 5, 2024. So, come back from Kota. He also said that he had done the setting for the exam. After which he came to Patna from Kota.
“I was made to memorize the answers to the NEET question paper. My uncle Sikandar Yadavendu left me with Amit Anand and Nitish Kumar in the NHAI guest house on May 4, 2024. He also gave the answer sheet along with the question paper for the NEET exam. I studied and memorized it all night. When I appeared in the examination, the same questions came into it. After the exam, the police suddenly came and caught me. I confess my crime,” Anurag Yadav said in his confessional statement before the EOU.
His examination center was at DY Patil School Patna.
The EOU of Bihar police which is investigating the NEET question paper leak case had already arrested 13 persons including 6 examination mafias including Sikandar Yadvendu, 4 candidates including Arnurag Yadav and three parents including Anurag’s mother Reena Yadav.
Besides, it has also summoned 9 candidates following their roll codes and roll numbers found during the investigation. Some of the candidates appeared before the investigating agency on Wednesday.
