ECI removed four bureaucrats from the electoral procedures in Bihar.

Patna: Election Commission of India (ECI) has removed SPs and DMs of Nawada and Bhojpur from electoral procedures of the general election 2024.

A letter in this regard was sent to the chief secretary of Bihar on April 1 and directed him to implement the same immediately.

Ashutosh Kumar Verma, the 2010 IAS officer, is a DM of Nawada. Ambrish Rahul, the 2017 batch IPS officer is a SP of Nawada.

Those four officers are Raj Kumar, the 2010 batch IAS officer and DM of Bhojpur and Pramod Kumar Yadav, the 2017 batch IPS officer and SP of Bhojpur.

As per the letter, ECI further directed that the aforesaid officers should handover the charge to the officers immediately below in rank. These four officers should not be assigned any election related work till the completion of general election 2024 of Bihar.
