Patna May 31: The Economic Offence Unit (EOU) of Bihar has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the case of two EVM hackers allegedly staying in Raj Bhawan on Friday.
An objectionable post was uploaded by a person against Raj Bhawan Patna on Thursday and leveled a serious allegation on the Raj Bhavan Bihar for providing shelters to two EVM hackers. Following the allegation Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arleker himself directed the officials to take action against the accused. EOU has registered the FIR following a written complaint given by the principal secretary to the governor Robert L Chongthu under the Representation of People Act, IT Act and other related IPC sections on Thursday.
According to an EOU official, a complaint was received from the Principal Secretary to the Governor RL Chongthu that a post had been uploaded on social media regarding Raj Bhavan.
A person named Nitesh Karthikeyan, who calls himself a Laluwadi (Laluist), has spread rumours by uploading a post on the social networking platform X. He alleged that two EVM hackers have been staying in Raj Bhavan. He has also mentioned their names.
As per the content of the post, he wrote: “On the instructions of the Home Minister of India, two EVM hackers have been made to stay in Bihar’s Raj Bhavan Patna. It is being discussed that two suspicious persons named P Kashyap and Dr. MK Bhai. Both these persons are staying in Raj Bhavan.”
Nitesh Karthikeyan further writes: “The Chief Minister of Bihar is also the Home Minister here. Now in such a situation, Nitish Kumar should answer in what capacity these two suspicious persons are staying in Raj Bhavan. Are they IAS or an officer of any department? Will the Chief Minister answer this or the Election Commission?”
Nitesh Karthikeyan has alleged that there is also information that both these persons are experts in hacking EVMs. Voting is to be held in Patliputra, Patna Sahib and Nalanda Lok Sabha constituencies on June one and these places are near to Patna. In such a situation, how can a suspicious person stay in Raj Bhavan?”
Nitesh Karthikeyan, who posts such posts, calls himself a Laluwadi but there has been no response from RJD in this matter. Videos, pictures and content supporting INDI Alliance are posted in the profile under the name Nitesh Karthikeyan. In such a situation, it is clear that the said person is a supporter of INDI Alliance.
