Patna, April 21, 2024: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday intensified his attack on RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, accusing him of promoting dynastic politics.
Speaking at a rally in Gandhi Maidan, Thakurganj (Kishanganj district), Nitish said.
“I am associated with those (NDA) at present, and they are not dynastic people, but I was earlier with those who believe in nepotism. He (Lalu Prasad Yadav) made his wife (Rabri Devi), then his sons (Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav) and now his daughter (Rohini Acharya).”
Continuing his sharp criticism, Nitish Kumar recalled remarks he made a day earlier in Katihar, adding that Lalu “made his wife, sons and daughters” political leaders and “shouldn’t have had so many kids.”
Nitish Kumar also targeted Congress:
He also targeted the Congress party, alleging it has been controlled exclusively by the Nehru—Gandhi family, saying.
“Congress fought during the freedom struggle, but who are in the party? It has been run by a family and not any other person. This is why the Congress party is coming to an end now. Congress and RJD are dynastic parties. They do not allow any other person to flourish in the party.”
Nitish Kumar urged voters to vote NDA candidate:
Nitish Kumar urged voters to support NDA candidate Muzahid Alam in Kishanganj, asserting.
“We strongly believe that the people of the entire Bihar are our family, and whatever we do, we do it for you. Bring your hands in the air to ensure you will vote for him.”
Voting for Kishanganj, along with Katihar, Purnea, Bhagalpur, and Banka, will take place in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections on April 26.
