Patna, April 5, 2024: BJP Rajya Sabha MP Dharmshila Gupta on Friday sparked controversy by claiming that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s mental balance was disturbed during his tenure in the Grand Alliance, but that he has “recovered” after rejoining the NDA.
Dharmshila Gupta’s statement came after Nitish Kumar’s speech in the Jamui rally:
The mental status of CM Nitish Kumar was not right when he was in the Grand Alliance. The leaders of the alliance were disturbing his mental balance. That is why he made statements against women in the Bihar Assembly,” Gupta said, “Now that he is back in the NDA, you can see the difference.
In the Jamui rally, Kumar clearly said that he will not leave the BJP in the future.
Dharmshila Gupta targeted Congress:
Gupta also launched a sharp attack on the Congress, accusing its leaders of disrespecting women.
“Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi respects women and always fights for their dignity. On the other hand, Congress leaders insult women—they call them to their bedrooms and abuse them on the streets. Their mindset is anti-women, and I strongly condemn such acts,” Gupta said.
She expressed confidence that the Congress will be wiped out in Bihar in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
“Congress will lose all seats in Bihar. Women will not allow the Congress to open its account in the state,” she asserted.
