CPI ML announced the candidates for the Lok Sabha election of Bihar.

Patna, March 30, 2024: The CPI ML (Liberation) on Saturday announced the names of its candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha election 2024 and the Agiaon Assembly by-poll. The party, which is part of the INDIA bloc in Bihar and Jharkhand, has fielded prominent leaders from its ranks.

CPI ML state secretary Kunal said the party has nominated:

Sudama Prasad from Arrah Lok Sabha seat, Rajaram Singh from Karakat Lok Sabha seat, Sandeep Saurav from Nalanda Lok Sabha seat, Vinod Singh from Koderma (Jharkhand), Sheoprakash Ranjan for the Agiaon Assembly by-poll (Bihar).

Candidates Profiles :

Sudama Prasad, a senior party leader and MLA from Tarari constituency (Bhojpur) since 2020, will take on Union Energy Minister RK Singh of the BJP in Arrah.

Rajaram Singh, a strong Kushwaha community leader and two-time MLA from Obra (Aurangabad), will challenge NDA’s Upendra Kushwaha in Karakat.

Sandeep Saurav, MLA from Paliganj and one of CPI-ML’s most vocal youth leaders, will contest against JD-U’s Kaushalendra Kumar in Nalanda.

In Jharkhand, CPI-ML has given a ticket to Vinod Singh from Koderma. For the Agiaon by-poll, the party has fielded Sheoprakash Ranjan. The seat fell vacant after the conviction of sitting MLA Manoj Manjil, elected in 2020.

With these names, CPI-ML has put forward a mix of experienced leaders and young faces, aiming to consolidate its base among the working class, backward communities, and youth in Bihar and Jharkhand.
