Gurugram, April 26, 2026: In a proactive push to strengthen urban governance, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday conducted an extensive field visit across Gurugram to assess civic infrastructure and public service delivery.
The Chief Minister began his inspection in the morning by reviewing stretches of National Highway-48, closely examining cleanliness, maintenance of greenery, and overall civic condition.
During his visit, he briefly halted his convoy along a service lane to personally evaluate on-ground realities and issued immediate directions to officials for addressing gaps.
Nayab Singh Saini was accompanied by Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma, and Pataudi MLA Bimla Choudhary.
Nayab Singh Saini emphasized citizen-centric governance:
Emphasizing the importance of citizen welfare, the Chief Minister stated that there should be no compromise in services related to public convenience in Gurugram.
He highlighted that regular feedback from residents is being actively collected and that such field visits will continue to ensure effective implementation of government policies.

Nayab Singh Saini directed officials to pay special attention to the maintenance of roadside greenery, proper upkeep of parks, and overall cleanliness in urban areas.
Inspection of drain management:
Later in the day, Nayab Singh Saini inspected the Lag-2 drain near Ashok Vihar-Bhimgarh Kheri, where he reviewed the ongoing cleaning and maintenance operation.
Taking a serious note of sanitation and environmental concerns, he instructed officials to ensure continuous cleaning of the drain, conduct regular water sampling, strengthen both sides of the drain, and maintain cleanliness in the surrounding areas.

Senior administrative officials, including Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya, Police Commissioner Vikas Arora, and officers from GMDA and other departments, were present during the inspection.
The visit underscores the Haryana government’s emphasis on ground-level monitoring, accountability, and citizen-focused urban management, particularly in rapidly growing cities like Gurugram.
