BJP announced the list of 40 star campaigners for Bihar.

Patna, March 27, 2024: The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday released the names of 40 star campaigners who will canvass for the party during the Lok Sabha elections in Bihar.

The list features the Party’s top leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, and BJP national president JP Nadda. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav.

Bihar BJP leaders in focus:

Alongside national figures, the BJP has included several prominent state leaders, such as Bihar in-charge Vinod Tawde, Deputy CMs Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, MoS Home Nityanand Rai, Union Minister Giriraj Singh, former Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi, former state president Sanjay Jaiswal, and leaders like Mangal Pandey, Reny Devi, Dr. Prem Kumar, Nikki Hembrom, Nivedita Singh and Mithelesh Tiwari.

Interestingly, former Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey, who was denied a ticket from Buxar, has also been named in the star campaigner list, signaling the party’s effort to balance internal equations.

Election scheduled in Bihar:

Bihar will vote in seven phases—Phase 1 (April 19)—Gaya, Nawada, Aurangabad, Jamui. Phase 2 (April 26), Phase 3 (May 7), Phase 4 (May 13), Phase 5 (May 20), Phase 6 (May 25), Phase 6 (May 25), Phase 7 (June 1).

Counting of votes will be held on June 4.

With Bihar’s 40 Lok Sabha seats crucial to NDA’s tally, BJP aims to deploy a blend of national icons and regional heavyweights to consolidate its campaign.
