Vijay Kumar Sinha claimed true tribute to Atal Ji would be achieved after the BJP formed its own government in Bihar.

Patna December 25, 2024: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha during the 100th birth anniversary event for former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Patna, asserted that a “true tribute” to Vajpayee would only be achieved when the BJP forms its own government in Bihar, emphasizing that the mission of the party remains incomplete.

Vijay Kumar Sinha claimed NDA removed Jungle Raj from Bihar:

He also criticized the influence of the so-called “Jungle Raj,” referring to the governance associated with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) era, which he claims continues to affect social harmony in Bihar.

Vijay Kumar Sinha emphasized that forming a BJP-led government in Bihar would honour Vajpayee’s legacy, reiterating Vajpayrr’s phrase, “Haar Nahi Manunga, Raar Nahi Thanunga” (I will not accept defeat, I will not start a conflict).

Sinha’s statement suggested that Nitish Kumar, the current Chief Minister and leader of the NDA government in Bihar might not have a place in a future BJP government.

Vijay Kumar Sinha’s clarifications on leadership:

Despite these statements, Sinha later clarified that the BJP would continue contesting elections under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, acknowledging Kumar’s significant role in dismantling “Jungle Raj” and establishing good governance between 2005 and 2010.

“Nitish Kumar was the very trusted leader of Late PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He was sent to b\Bihar to establish good governance. Nitish Kumar played a crucial role in removing Jungle Raj from 2005 to 2010. The people of Jungle Raj came in Between but the NDA government under the leadership of Nitish Kumar remained firm. Now, they would not be given any second chance to establish Jungle Raj. The government of Bihar will be established under the leadership of Nitish Kumar in the future,” Sinha said.

This statement adds to the ongoing debate about who will be the NDA’s Chief Ministerial candidate in the 2025 Bihar assembly elections. Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had indicated that the decision was still pending, leading to speculations about the BJP’s plans for Nitish Kumar.

Although a core committee meeting of the BJP reaffirmed Nitish Kumar’s leadership for the upcoming elections, Sinha’s remarks from the stage hint at a potential shift in strategy or internal discussions within the BJP.
