Nitish Kumar reiterated the Bihar development agenda:

At the Jan Samvad program, Nitish Kumar reiterated his government’s commitment to holistic development across Bihar, including remote districts like Jamui.

Interacting with the public, Nitish Kumar also engaged directly with women attendees, encouraging their participation.

Apart from Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced major industrial initiatives aimed at boosting employment.

He proposed a Rs 6,000 crore steel plant in Jamui and plans for a nuclear power plant in the Nawada district.

He also said that Bhimbandh and Kundghat would be developed as ecotourism destinations to generate local employment.

Development claims and growth figures:

Addressing a gathering in Lachhuar, Choudhary highlighted Bihar’s transformation since 2005, the road network expanded from 6,000 km to 1.4 lakh km.

He highlights that the state budget increased from Rs 23,000 crore to Rs 3.5 lakh crore, and electricity consumers rose from 17 lakh to over 2.16 crore. Choudhary added that Bihar now receives 22-24 hours of electricity, and up to 125 units are provided free, benefiting a majority of households.

Choudhary responded with folded hands and continued his address without reacting to the error.
