Patna, January 23, 2026: On the occasion of Saraswati Puja, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited the Janata Dal (United) party office in Patna and offered prayers.

The puja was organized by the JD(U) IT Cell, and was attended by several senior leaders, including Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, along with Nishant Kumar, the Chief Minister’s son.

Nitish Kumar reached the party office soon after returning to Patna from his Samriddhi Yatra from Muzaffarpur on Friday.

Leaders greeted each other during the ceremony, which saw strong participation from party workers.

Speaking to the media, Nishant Kumar said, “I have come here to worship Goddess Saraswati and seek her blessings. I have prayed to the Goddess of knowledge, and I extend my best wishes to everyone on Basant Panchami.

Meanwhile, political discussion gained momentum after reports suggested that Union Minister Lalan Singh informally mentioned the possibility of Nishant Kumar entering politics, reportedly saying, “Nitish Kumar, please agree to it now.

Nishant Kumar is generally known for his simple and spiritual lifestyle, but his increasing participation in public and party events has drawn attention in Bihar’s political circles. Political observers noted that his presence at an official party-cell program has further strengthened speculation about whether he may eventually take up an active political role.
