Patna, January 9, 2026: Bihar Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit on Friday stated that the state government is committed to the expansion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern technology.

Pratyay Amrit expressed his view during an “Industry Dialogue” meeting organized at the Directorate of Aviation Organization, Bihar, near Patna Airport, under his chairmanship.

The high-level meeting, held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, saw participation from 13 leading industry representatives and focused on the expansion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Bihar, digital governance, and speedy resolution of industrial issues.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit emphasized that the state government is committed to adopting modern technology and AI across all levels of governance.

“The world is changing rapidly, and Bihar must also build a strong AI ecosystem. Our objective is to ensure that knowledge about AI reaches everyone and is effectively used in government functioning,” he said.

Officials mentioned before Pratyay Amrit about AI training for youth and digital education:

Rajesh Ranjan, representing Google India, proposed a large-scale initiative to train Bihar’s youth in Artificial Intelligence.

Under the proposal, a pilot project will train around 10,000 students in AI over the next six months.

He also suggested expanding the program to colleges across the state, to which Pratyay Amrit responded positively.

Ajay Singh and Anand Kumar expressed their willingness to collaborate with the state government to leverage AI for improvements in education, women and child welfare, and overall quality of life.

Taking immediate note, the Chief Secretary directed Abhay Kumar Singh, Secretary, Information Technology Department, to seriously examine the proposal.

Founder Prithvi Maddirala presented a model of ‘Smart Shelter’ and ‘Smart Poles’ equipped with AI-enabled cameras, inspired by similar infrastructure implemented at Sabrimala in Kerala.

Pratyay Amrit suggested launching the initiative as a pilot project in select industrial zones of Bihar.

Meanwhile, CEO Shriya Damini showcased a model for round-the-clock government services and information delivery through WhatsApp.

The Chief Secretary instructed the Bihar Public Service Management (BPSM) to take prompt action on the proposal.

Immediate decisions on industrial issues:

Apart from policy discussions, Pratyay Amrit also provided on-the-spot solutions to several long-pending industrial concerns, including Sasa Musa Sugar Mill and ordered the concerned department to take an immediate decision on the mill’s revival application.

He also assured consideration of the proposal to release startup funding provided in the first two phases as a lump-sum amount.

The investors have given the proposals with an aim to create a favorable environment for semiconductor manufacturing in Bihar.

Several other distinguished entrepreneurs and senior officials from various state departments were present at the meeting.

The dialogue underscored the Bihar government’s intent to accelerate industrial growth, promote AI-driven governance, and strengthen collaboration with the private sector.
