Three persons died due to heat stroke in Nalanda.
Patna June 14: Scorching heat waves are not only affecting public life but it is also turning out deadly in Bihar these days. Due to the heat strokes, three persons including two women died in Nalanda district in the last 24 hours.
The first incident is from Madhavpur village under the Ekangarasarai police station area. Where a woman died due to heat stroke. The deceased was identified as Sauja Devi, wife of Paras Singh.
The deceased family members said that she went to Ekangarasarai market and became a victim of heat stroke on Friday. She collapsed on the road and fell unconscious. The passersby informed her family members about the incident using the phone of the victim. They reached the spot and took her to the hospital where the doctor declared her brought dead.
The second case also occurred in Parbalpur police station area. Where Rajendra Lohara, a resident of Gumla, Jharkhand, who worked at Raja Mukhiya’s brick kiln in Khandha of Katru Bigha village, died due to a heat stroke on Friday. He was working at the brick kiln here for the last 5 years.
The third incident occurred in the jurisdiction of the Parbalpur police station area where a 55-year-old woman Laxmini Devi, died due to heatwaves. She was a resident of Baburbanna village. The family members of the deceased said that the woman went to Parbalpur market for treatment on Thursday evening around 4 pm. During that time, she fell unconscious on the road. She was rescued by some passersby and taken to the Primary Health Center (PHC) for treatment. The doctor of PHC referred her to Sadar Hospital Bihar Sharif for better treatment. She died during the treatment in the Sadar hospital.
Amid the scorching heat wave, the district administration has advised people to take precautions in such a situation and go out of the house only if there is urgent work. The maximum temperature in the district has reached 47℃.
At present, the police have got the post-mortem of all three bodies done and handed them over to the family members.
According to the information received from the police, the possibility of death due to heatwaves is being expressed. However, not a single death due to heat wave has been confirmed by the administrative officials of the district.
