Patna, May 10, 2024: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday launched a sharp attack on LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan, claiming that he has little understanding of reservation and should listen to the old speeches of his late father, Ram Vilas Paswan.
Tejashwi Yadav’s remarks came a day after Chirag Paswan asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was strengthening the reservation system.
Tejashwi Yadav said Chirag Paswan is a prosperous Dalit:
“There is no need to comment much on this. Chirag Paswan is a prosperous Dalit. Why doesn’t he give up reservations? He is not aware of history and standing with those who have the mentality of the BJP and RSS,” Yadav said.
He further added, “Chirag Paswan is free to live with anyone, but he neither has complete information on the reservation nor knows its history. He should listen to the old speeches of his father, Ram Vilas Paswan, then he will know the reality of the BJP.”
Tejashwi Yadav asked Chirag Paswan to listen to his father’s old speeches:
Tejashwi Yadav recalled that Ram Vilas Paswan had once resigned from the Union Cabinet opposing the BJP.
“In his speeches, Ram Vilas Paswan clearly said the BJP wants to end reservation. It is a riotous party. Everyone knows he even resigned because of this,” he added.
Responding to Chirag Paswan’s claim that he is Hanuman of PM Modi, Tejashwi Yadav said, “He does not remember what PM Modi did to him. The Prime Minister got his father’s statue removed, vacated his house, and snatched away his party’s symbol. Despite this, he calls himself Modi’s Hanuman.”
“Ram Vilas Paswan was the leader of all of us. Chirag Paswan should have understood his speeches. If PM Modi remains in power, democracy and the Constitution are in danger. BJP leaders are saying that if they cross 400 seats, they will destroy the Constitution,” Tejashwi said.
He also accused the BJP of ignoring public issues.
“They do not talk about employment, poverty, farmers, or labourers. They avoid real issues and focus only on divisive politics,” Yadav added.
