Tejashwi Yadav claimed the statement of Nitish Kumar on women has brought shame to Bihar.

Patna January 20, 2025: Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar assembly, has intensified his criticism of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing him of being unfit to govern the state.
Speaking at the Karyakarta darshan cum Samvad program in Aurangabad, Yadav criticized the Chief Minister for his recent remarks on women, labelling them as shameful and an embarrassment for the people of Bihar.
“The statement made by CM Nitish Kumar about women has brought shame to Bihar. It reflects his exhaustion with age and his reliance on retired officers to run the government. The state government must issue him a health card,” Yadav remarked, suggesting that Kumar’s age and health are impacting his leadership abilities.
Tejashwi Yadav said the time has come to change leadership in Bihar:
Tejashwi Yadav asserted that after two decades of Nitish Kumar’s leadership, Bihar is in dire need of a political transformation. “The people of Bihar have seen him as Chief Minister for 20 years. If you keep planting the same brand of seed on soil, its fertility and yield decline. It’s time to plant new seeds for high-quality crops and a secure future,” Yadav said.
He accused Nitish Kumar of lacking the stamina, vision, and actionable plans to address the state’s needs, claiming that even the Chief Minister has admitted there’s nothing left for him to achieve in Bihar.
“The public has realized this and will ensure his removal in the upcoming assembly elections,” He added.
Allegations of Shadow Leadership:
Tejashwi Yadav also alleged that Nitish Kumar is no longer in full control of his government. “The Bihar government is not being run by Nitish Kumar but by three and a half people. There is a super CM above him, and that is DK Boss,” Yadav said, though he refrained from revealing the identity of “DK Boss.”
Amid speculation about cracks in the RJD-Congress alliance, Yadav reaffirmed the strength of the partnership. “Our alliance with Congress existed before the Lok Sabha elections, it exists now, and it will continue in the assembly elections. There is no scope for ifs and buts in this,” he emphasized, dismissing rumours of a split.

Criticism of the Caste Survey:
Tejashwi Yadav also backed Rahul Gandhi’s criticism of the state government’s handling of the caste survey. He questioned the utility of conducting the survey when the collected data was not being put to use. “Rahul Gandhi raised valid questions. If the state government is not utilizing the caste survey data, what is the point of conducting it?” Yadav asked.
Yadav’s remarks signal his growing efforts to position himself and RJD as a viable alternative to Nitish Kumar’s leadership ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, as he continues to highlight governance issues and alleged mismanagement in Bihar.
