
Patna March 8, 2025: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav made a major announcement, promising the launch of the ‘Beti Program’ if his party comes to power in Bihar.
Tejashwi Yadav explained that B. E. T. I. stands for: B- Benefit, E-Education, T- Training, and I- Income.
Under this program, the state government will provide all necessary facilities for girls, ensuring better education opportunities, employment generation for women and financial and social security.
“If a daughter is born in Bihar, the state government will provide all facilities so that they can study well and secure employment. Because daughters are the future of Bihar,” Yadav said.
Tejashwi Yadav already announced a women’s welfare scheme:
Tejashwi Yadav has already launched Mai Behan Maan Yojana if his government comes to power in Bihar. Under this scheme, women will be given Rs. 2500 per month for financial independence.
He also advocated for the regularization of Jeevika Didi’s and promised that their honorarium would be increased and their jobs would be made permanent.
The Mahagathbandhan government will focus on protecting women’s rights and ensuring their security.
Tejashwi Yadav attacked the Nitish Kumar government:
Tejashwi Yadav criticized CM Nitish Kumar, saying: “No factories have been set up in Bihar since he came to power in Bihar in 2025. The inflation has made life difficult for the poor,” Yadav said.
He also accused Nitish Kumar and his alliance partners have defaming Lalu Yadav instead of focusing on development.
Tejashwi Yadav reaffirmed that RJD has always worked for the dignity and empowerment of women, and if elected, his government will focus on industrial growth, employment opportunities and social justice for the poor and marginalized section.
With Bihar’s political landscape heating up, the ‘Beti Program” announcement is expected to play a key role in upcoming elections, particularly in gaining women voters’ support.
