The mishap occurred around 1.30 PM near the Ibrahimpur bridge in Kachwan village under the jurisdiction of the Kachwan police station.

An electric short circuit was the reason for six people’s deaths:

According to the Station House Officer (SHO), the fire broke out after a short circuit in an electric transformer, and sparks fell onto three huts located close to the bridge.

The fire spread rapidly due to the hot weather conditions, giving the victims no time to escape,” the SHO said.
