Six persons were charred to death and one injured in Bihar’s Rohtas district.

Patna: Six persons of a family were charred to death and one injured in Bihar’s Rohtas district on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire mishap occurred at Ibrahimpur bridge Kachwan village under Kachwan police station. The SHO of Kachwan police station confirms the incident. He said that the mishap occurred at 1.30 PM on Tuesday.
The deceased including three women and three children died on the spot. One of the victims sustained burn injuries and was admitted in the hospital.
The police said there were three huts adjoining the Kachwan bridge. The victims were inside the huts when the short circuit occurred in an electric transformer and its sparks fell on the huts. Some of the people residing inside the huts managed to save themselves but those six victims were not so lucky. As the atmosphere is also hot, it blazed out in a few seconds. It has not given enough time to victims to save themselves.
The local residents called for the fire brigade and also tried to douse the flame but failed.
The fire engines reached the spot and doused the flame but till that time six persons were charred to death in that mishap.
Following the mishap, a large number of people reached the spot. Teams of police and civil administrations of the district also reached the spot and sent the dead bodies for the postmortem.
