Sanjay Saraogi assumes charge as the BJP Bihar state president in Patna.

Patna, December 18, 2025: Sanjay Saraogi, the MLA of Darbhanga, on Thursday formally assumed charge as the state president of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), at the party’s state office in Patna.

The occasion was marked by an oath-taking and felicitation ceremony attended by senior leaders, including outgoing state president Dilip Jaiswal, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha.

Sanjay Saraogi assured that organization is paramount:

Addressing the gathering, Saraogi said that the organization is paramount in the BJP, describing it as the party’s strength and ideology as its lifeblood.

He emphasized that party workers are the backbone of the organization and assured them of due respect and recognition.

Recalling his early years, Sanjay Saraogi said his education began at a school affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) and that his journey from “I to We” started with the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

He expressed confidence in his ability to strengthen the party and said he would move forward with the cooperation of the party workers and the guidance of the advisory committee.

Referring to senior leaders and former state presidents, Sanjay Saraogi said they had shaped him like skilled craftsmen and entrusted him with this important responsibility.

He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, and BJP National Working President Nitin Nabin for placing their trust in him, assuring them that he would live up to their expectations.

Sanjay Saraogi arrived in Patna from his constituency, Darbhanga, where he received a grand welcome.

He was accorded a ceremonial reception at the party office, with members of the BJP Mahila Morcha welcoming him by blowing conch shells.

Addressing the felicitation ceremony, Saraogi said, “Today I am assuming office. This is not just a position; opt is a responsibility, and I assure you that I will work day and night to fulfil this responsibility.”

He expressed hope that he would continue to receive the cooperation of senior leaders in Bihar and the guidance of the national leadership.

Reassuring party workers, he said that no worker would be neglected and everyone would be given due respect.

The BJP state president further said efforts would be made to ensure better coordination between the organization and the government, with the shared objective of making Bihar a developed state.
