RJD MP Sudhakar Singh backs Tej Pratap Yadav amid controversy and questioned his expulsion.

Patna, June 2, 2025: Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Tej Pratap Yadav, RJD MP from Buxar, Sudhakar Singh, has come out in his support, asserting that Tej Pratap has not committed any wrongdoing by allegedly entering a second marriage.
“Multiple marriages not taboo in Hindu culture”: Sudhakar Singh:
Speaking to the media in Motihari, Singh said: “In Hindu culture, there are many historical examples of individuals having two or three marriages. Late Ram Vilas Paswan was one such person his son Chirag Paswan was born from his second marriage. If Tej Paratp Yadav has married again, as he claimed on social media, I do not see anything wrong with it. It’s not a social evil in our tradition.”
Sudhakar Singh also questioned RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav for expelling his son, Tej Pratap, both from the party and the family for six years, after the alleged revelation of an extramarital relationship with a woman named Anushka Yadav.
“As a father, Lalu Prasad Yadav should accept Tej Pratap, as I do not believe he has done anything morally or socially wrong,” Singh added.
Controversy over Facebook post:
The controversy erupted when Tej Pratap Yadav’s Facebook account reportedly posted about his relationship with Anushka Yadav, including a photograph and claim of a second marriage.

However, Tej Pratap later denied having posted it himself, alleging that his account was hacked and the post was politically motivated.
He cryptically accused a “Jaychand” (traitor) within his own party of orchestrating the episode to malign him.
Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD National President Lalu Prasad Yadav, has often found himself at the centre of political and personal controversies. This latest development has deepened the internal crisis within the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), especially with public statements being made by party MPs and leaders that counter the party’s disciplinary action.
