RJD alleged Narendra Modi government ignored Muslims in its cabinet

Patna June 10: RJD slammed the Narendra Modi government for its ignorance of minority participation in the union cabinet on Monday.

Ejaz Ahmed, the senior RJD leader and spokesperson claimed 71 ministers have taken the oath of cabinet or state minister in the Narendra Modi government but not picked a single MP from the Muslim community.

This has increased political heat in Bihar. RJD has launched a scathing attack on this issue and said that even the loser from Punjab has been made a minister but 18% of the Muslim population has been ignored. RJD says that this step is contrary to the NDA’s slogan “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”.

“BJP’s anti-Muslim face has come to the fore. There are about 18% Muslims in the country but they have been ignored. If NDA wanted, someone from Rajya Sabha may made a minister but it was not the case. NDA government has made minister to Ravneet Singh Bittu who lost the election. He was made a minister only to represent Punjab. He said that BJP has Rajya Sabha MPs from Jammu and Kashmir, they could have been made ministers,” said Ejaz Ahmed, a spokesperson of RJD.

When Prime Minister Narendra Modi formed the government in 2014 and 2019, Muslim MPs were made ministers. When the BJP government was formed under the leadership of Narendra Modi in 2014, Najma Heptulla was made a Union Minister as a Muslim face. When the first expansion of the Modi cabinet took place in 2014, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi became the Minister of State for Minority Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs. After BJP’s return to power in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi again joined the Modi cabinet.

Ejaz Ahmed also leveled allegations against JD (U) for ignorance. “JD (U) always claimed to did a lot of work for Muslims but their real face has also come to the fore.”
