Rahul Gandhi to visit Patna for ‘Azadi Ke  Parwane’ program on February 5 to boost Congress workers.

Patna February 4, 2025: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will visit Patna on February 5 to participate in the ‘Azadi Ke Parwane’ program, organized on the birth anniversary of Jaglal Chaudhary at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall at 1:00 PM. Bihar Congress state president Akhilesh Singh confirmed this information.

Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to arrive at Patna airport at 9:40 AM. This marks his second visit to Bihar within 20 days, underscoring his increasing political focus on the state.

Rahul Gandhi will participate in Jaglal Chaudhary’s birth anniversary:

Jaglal Chaudhary, a notable leader from the Pasi community, was deeply involved in India’s freedom struggle. He left his  MBBS studies to support Mahatma Gandhi and later served as Excise Minister in the central government, where he played a key role in implementing a nationwide liquor ban. Chaudhary was also a prominent social reformer, advocating for the upliftment of marginalized communities.

Congress state president Akhilesh Singh highlighted that the youth of Bihar will have the opportunity to learn about Choudhary’s contributions through this event.

Rahul Gandhi’s Increasing Presence in Bihar Speaking on Rahul Gandhi’s frequent visit to Bihar, Akhilesh Singh remarked that it energizes Congress workers and inspires the youth.

“We had requested Rahul Gandhi to spend more time in Bihar and other states, and he accepted it, “Singh stated.

He also emphasized Congress’s historical role in India’s independence and took a dig at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), questioning its contributions during the freedom movement.

Akhilesh Singh said RJD is a trusted ally of Congress:

“The Congress party sacrificed for independence and won freedom where the people of the Sangh were at that time? Congress is a national party, while RJD was founded much later. As a secular party, RJD has been a trusted ally and has never sided with the BJP. Congress, too has consistently opposed the BJP,” Singh said. Rejecting any notion of Congress being politically side-lined, he added:

“It is foolish for anyone to underestimate Congress. Our supporters can be found in every street and locality across the country. While the NDA is aiming for 225 seats, we have set our target at 243.”
