Patna, September 18: Prashant Kishor, the curator of Jan Suraj said his party will have the provision of “Right to Recall. Jan Suraj is going to take a shape of political party on October 2 this year.

Prashant Kishor further said that it will allow the public to remove elected representatives before the end of the term if they do not performing satisfactorily.

He is currently promoting the Jan Suraj campaign through his Padyatra and public meetings, detailing how the party will stand out from existing political parties in Bihar.

Jan Suraj will be the first party in the country to incorporate the Right to Recall in its constitution. This provision will allow voters to recall their elected representatives halfway through their term, specifically after two and half years,” he said.

Prashant Kishor further stated, “If a candidate who wins the ticket of Jan Suraj—fails to meet the public expectation, voters will have the option to pass a no-confidence motion against them. If sufficient percentage of voters supports this motion, our party will compel the representatives to resign.”

Prashant Kishor mentioned that the specific percentage required for a no-confidence motion is still being debated within Jan Suraj’s Constituent Assembly. The details about it will be finalized and included when the party is officially announced on October 2 this year.

“Such a law is currently in place in the country. Jan Suraj will enforce it to enhance accountability among its representatives,” he added.
