Prashant Kishor said if the Waqf Amendment Bill is passed in parliament, Nitish Kumar will be responsible for it.

Patna March 26, 2025: Prashant Kishor, the architect of the Jan Suraj Party, has claimed that if the Waqf Amendment Bill is passed in parliament, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be solely held responsible for it.

Speaking to media persons in Patna on Wednesday, Kishor voiced his support for the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) protest against the bill.

“I support the protest of AIMPLB against Waqf Bill. This bill has been presented multiple times in parliament, causing discomfort within the Muslim community. If the Waqf Bill is passed, Nitish Kumar will be held accountable for it,” Kishor said.

Prashant Kishor attacked the BJP and called for Gandhi’s ideology:

In addition to criticizing Nitish Kumar, Kishor also took a jab at the BJP emphasizing that only Gandhi’s ideology-based political system can counter the BJP’s ideological dominance.

Jan Suraj is not merely running campaigns to win elections in Bihar; it is a movement to revive the pre-independence Gandhian Congress system,” Kishor added.

Prashant Kishor argued that a strong ideological foundation rooted in Gandhian principles is necessary to defeat BJP’s ideology-based politics.

Growth of Jan Suraj Party:

Highlighting the growth of his party, Prashant Kishor claimed that within just six months of the Jan Suraj Party’s formation, hundreds of individuals were joining every day to contribute to Bihar’s development.

In the latest development, former IPS officer Mohammad Abdullah and social worker Amjad Hasan joined Jan Suraj on Wednesday.

Truth has an inherent power—no matter how much mud is thrown on it, it remains unchanged. In time, the people of Bihar will understand which party truly represents the future of their children,” Kishor said.

AIMPLB held a massive protest against the Waqf Amendment Bill at Gardanibagh Dharna Asthal, with support from several political parties including RJD, Congress, left parties, Azad Samaj Party and others.
