
Patna, May 27, 2025: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s grand roadshow scheduled in Patna on May 29, the city’s Traffic Police has released a detailed traffic advisory, especially for passengers heading to Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport.
Traffic SP Aparajit Lohan informed that the city’s traffic system will undergo significant changes on May 29 between 4 PM and 8 PM due to security arrangements and expected public turnout for the PM’s visit.
Traffic restrictions due to PM Narendra Modi’s roadshow:
As per traffic SP Lohan, no-entry zones will be enforced from 4 PM onwards. Vehicles from Phulwari towards the airport will be completely barred after 4 PM and passengers heading towards the airport can take an alternative route of Jagdev Path.
Vehicles from Doomra Chowki near Sheikhpura Mor will not be allowed. Movement of vehicles will be completely restricted at the Income Tax roundabout.
Passengers heading towards Patna Junction and Gandhi Maidan can take the R Block route to reach there. Ashiana-Digha Road can be used by those heading north side of the city toward Ashok Rajpath and Marine Drive.
Special measures for Airport-bound passengers:
Till 4 PM, normal movement to the airport is allowed. After 4 PM, airport passengers must use designated police vehicles arranged at three locations (yet to be disclosed).
Those accessing the airport via Chitkohra Golambar must show valid flight tickets; no entry will be permitted without them.
As an alternative, Harding Road can be used.
PM Narendra Modi road show route:
The PM Narendra Modi’s road show will begin from Patna Airport, moving through Doomra Chowki and Income tax roundabout, ending at the BJP state Office.
Patna Police has arranged multiple parking areas for the large crowd expected at the roadshow.
Crowd control measures and security deployments will also be heightened across the capital.
